A tree guard inspires

One of my client’s, David Smith, this past spring visited a local nursery in the New Jersey area because he had tree seedlings that he wanted to protect from getting mowed down when he did the lawn.

Is brand value a big fat lie?

Last month, Google became the world’s first $100 billion brand. Does that mean that its assets are valued at $100 billion? No. So does that mean its annual revenues total $100 billion? No. In fact, Google’s 2008 revenue was around $22 billion, and its 2008 total assets were valued at around $32 billion.

A Tale of Two Parking Tickets

While visiting my jeweler last week (sorry wife, no new bling, it was simply a business discussion) I was surprised to learn that he gladly pays for any parking tickets his customers get while shopping in his store (whether they make a purchase or not).
